“We needed finance to help fund the buyout of the majority shareholder. The Development Bank of Wales helped us with a loan to part-fund the deal. It feels good to be finally putting our five year plan into practice and have total ownership of things.”
Working Word is Wales’ largest independent PR, digital and brand agency; with a client list that includes the Principality Building Society, Liberty House Group, Welsh Government, Sport Wales, Capital Law, and BAFTA Cymru.
Set up in 1999, today the company employs a team of 17 staff and is headed by Caroline Holmes and Dan Tyte, who as part owners wanted to buyout a third shareholder. Thanks to a six-figure loan from us, they’ve been able to achieve their aim and are now proactively growing the business.
Although their day-to-day roles haven’t changed dramatically, Caroline and Dan feel confident about their long terms plans and are working towards their vision of becoming one of the UK’s top 150 PR agencies.
