Who are we?

The Development Bank of Wales was set up by the Welsh Government to support the economy of Wales by making it easier for businesses to get the finance needed to start up, strengthen and grow.

Our flexible business loans can support the full business lifecycle from start-ups and growing businesses, to succession transactions including employee buy-outs.

Our loans range from £1k to £10m over terms of up to 15 years with fixed interest rates.

Just a few things you need to know first:

• Only businesses based in Wales or willing to relocate can apply.
• Our online application takes about 10 minutes to complete on average.
• You can upload supporting documents such as business plans and financials to help speed up processing your application.
• You can save your progress and return to complete the form another time. Partially completed application forms will only be available up to one month before being deleted.
