Leading infrastructure firm and FTSE 250 company, Softcat, has joined forces with Unified Comms experts, Conversant Technology, to add Microsoft Teams Voice Services to their portfolio.

Cwmbran-based Conversant Technology is the fastest-growing provider of voice services and voice applications working natively with Microsoft Teams. Established in 2015 as a SaaS platform provider, their speciality is in providing truly integrated UC solutions to clients and partners.

Conversant benefitted from a £500,000 joint loan and equity package from the Development Bank of Wales and Tata Steel subsidiary, UK Steel Enterprise, in 2018.

Patrick Copping, Managing Director at Conversant Technology said: “Our proposition is very powerful and complete, offering a one-stop shop for customers to accelerate their Unified Communications strategies through MS Teams.”

“We are delighted to be offering our portfolio to customers and partners of Softcat PLC. We have already secured a number of customers through the relationship, and expect that figure to grow exponentially as companies continue to adopt work-from-home practices.”

Founded in 1993, Softcat plc (LSE:SCT) is one of the UK’s leading IT infrastructure providers and a FTSE 250 listed company. With 1,300 employees, Softcat provides organisations with workplace, datacentre, networking, and security solutions, combined with all the services required to design, deliver, and support these on premise or in the Cloud.

“Softcat is now strategically placed to take advantage of the increased usage of MS Teams and add true value to their channel and direct customers”, commented Joanne Hannon, Head of Channel Development at Conversant.

“Microsoft Teams has become a household name, but Conversant goes further than many other providers to deliver enhanced functionality through their partnerships, drawing on over 20 years of experience in the industry.”

Tom Rook of the Development Bank of Wales added: “The huge increase in remote-working needs has seen Conversant accelerate their growth as businesses want unified communications, seamlessly bringing together voice, video, and other communications formats.

“Together with UK Steel Enterprise, we’ve been delighted to back such a fast-growing communications company. Our equity finance and support is enabling growth, with the business working hard to develop their technology and create new skilled jobs in the area. We wish them every success with their partnership with Softcat and their continued growth.”
