Linzi Plant

I help create tailored funding solutions for pre-seed to seed technology driven Welsh businesses.

Based in our Cardiff office, I support technology ventures across Wales. With my recent exposure to healthcare technologies and my life sciences background, I enjoy bringing new technologies to fruition whilst benefitting the Welsh ecosystem.

Prior to joining Development Bank of Wales, I worked for CEDAR (Centre for Healthcare Evaluation, Device Assessment and Research) in collaboration with the Welsh Value in Health Centre. My interest in engagement, fundraising and business operations began as head of strategic planning and operations for University of the Arts London. This interest led me to School for Creative Start-ups in London, where reviewing and sanctioning early investment in start-up businesses was part of my role as a business advisor.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Physiology from the University of Liverpool and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Nottingham, and I have worked in research and healthcare within the UK and New Zealand.
