The business secured a £2 million loan from the Development Bank of Wales to support the construction of a new state-of-the-art Materials Recycling Facility. The project forms part of a wider multi-million-pound investment programme which also includes support from group funds and the Welsh Government.
The new facility has increased processing capacity from up to 30,000 tonnes of waste per year to as much as 200,000 tonnes. It incorporates advanced automated sorting technology to improve material recovery, cut the contamination of recycled waste and increase the volume of high-quality recycled materials that can be returned to the supply chain.
By backing significant infrastructure projects, we help businesses translate ambitious plans into practical delivery and long-term economic impact. The investment show how long-term capital can help Welsh businesses unlock major growth opportunities while supporting productivity, sustainability and environmental performance. It is also expected to deliver lifetime carbon savings of more than 53,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent, while helping reduce landfill dependency and increase recycling rates across the region.
