Social media house rules

We manage official accounts on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. These channels share updates about our work, the services we provide, funding opportunities, work from our partners, and stories from businesses across Wales.

We welcome engagement, and we are happy to help you in any way that we can. We have a short set of house rules to help us work together:

  • All users must comply with each platform’s terms of use as well as our own house rules
  • You are responsible for any content you post, including comments and shared material
  • Only post information you are happy for everyone to see

What we will remove

We may hide or delete comments, disable replies, and/or block/report users who post content that is:

  • Abusive, obscene, or threatening
  • Inappropriate, discriminatory or hateful (including racism, sexism, homophobia)
  • Deceptive or misleading
  • In violation of intellectual property rights or any law/regulation
  • Spam or persistent negative/abusive posts intended to provoke
  • Disclosing confidential or personal information
  • Includes links that are unsafe or irrelevant

Repeated breaches will result in blocking and reporting to the platform.

Our response standards

  • We aim to respond to genuine enquiries within one working day
  • Our working hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 (excluding public holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year). Comments will be responded to and moderated during working hours
  • We cannot respond to political comments or provide advice on individual applications via social media
  • We will not tolerate or respond to any abusive messages
  • For urgent or sensitive matters, please contact us through official channels listed on our website

Safe and professional space

We want our social media to be a safe space for everyone. Please:

  • Treat others with courtesy and respect
  • Avoid offensive language or personal attacks
  • Do not impersonate our brand or misuse our logo
