How start up loans can help

There’s lots to consider when you're starting a business:

  • Renting or buying new premises
  • Buying equipment
  • Hiring staff
  • Marketing
  • Buying stock

Whatever sector you’re going into, our start up loans can help you cover the setup costs.

Getting through your early years might mean you need some extra finance for things like:

  • Renting or buying new premises
  • Cash flow
  • Training staff
  • Marketing
  • Additional stock
  • Developing products and services

Whether it’s to strengthen or help you grow we offer start up loans and equity.

Start up loans up to £50,000

We’ll need to see:

  • Business plan summary
  • Historic accounts (up to two years if available)
  • Two years cashflow forecast for loans over £25,000 (One year for loans up to £25,000)
  • Up-to-date management information
  • Previous three months bank statements (personal if start-up)
  • Statement of assets and liability

If you're looking for finance to launch your business then a personal cash contribution is usually required.

What if I don't have all of these right now?

Not to worry. You can either start your application and save your progress for later or submit and send us the supporting documents when you're ready.
