Small business loans in Wales
Our loans have enabled many businesses across Wales to get off the ground and grow, as well as helping to support business acquisitions.
We understand the needs of your business and offer flexible finance to meet them, working alongside banks, other local funders and business advisers to secure the best deal for you. We are also able to combine different types of finance (loans and equity) in order to create a bespoke financial package that fits your requirements.
In addition to the flexibility of our finance, we aim to deliver the best service possible, with local account managers providing face-to-face contact and dedicated ongoing support for your business.
Loans are available to SMEs across industries and can be used to finance a range of business needs.
If you're looking for a larger amount of capital, we also provide large business loans from £50,000 to £5 million.
Are you eligible for a fast track loan?
If you have been trading in Wales for over two years then you can apply for a fast track loan up to £25,000 without a business plan or financials. Decisions on loans are made within two working days.
For businesses who don’t meet the fast track criteria, we aim to make a decision within seven working days of receiving all the information we require.
You can find out more by visiting our process and timescales page.
Fixed interest rates
Our interest rates are based on your business' individual circumstances, and are fixed for the life of your loan with us. Every year we commission an independent expert to review our fees and interest rate policy and practice to ensure they remain in line with the market and are applied fairly and consistently.
Working with Welsh Government, we can reduce the interest rate on our loans by up to 2% for businesses either based in a Welsh enterprise zone or willing to relocate to one.
See our interest rates page for more information.
