We're recruiting for a social media executive based out of Cardiff, Wrexham or Llanelli. Salary between £26,000 and £28,000.
Job purpose
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, with a flare for all things social media, to own and drive our social media activity and content. Reporting to our Digital Communications Manager, you’ll join a busy marketing team – support the social media strategy and overall marketing plan.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Writing social media posts in English and Welsh, ensuring all social media content is bilingual and accurate.
- Develops engaging, creative, innovative content and campaigns for regularly scheduled posts across a range of social media channels and brands.
- To provide live social media posting from company events.
- Supports the Digital Communications Manager and social media strategy.
- Owns and updates the social media content plan and calendar.
- Oversees company social media accounts management.
- Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, including community management and servicing.
- Supports training in other department for social media.
- Coordinates social media messaging with other departments, fund managers, and quarterly or seasonal company goals.
- Supports the Digital Communications Manager in analysing social media performance with tracking systems to gather visitor data to develop social post engagement.
- Performs social listening to gather insight on competitors and influencers.
Support company Intranet and website
- Support marketing team, uploading content to the company intranet and website.
Marketing ad hoc
- Raise any purchase orders for digital activity.
- Undertake any other task defined by the Digital Communications Manager to meet the department’s operational needs
Knowledge, skills, abilities and experience
Essential
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in online content writing
- Confidently fluent in the Welsh language
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a social media marketing role
- Demonstrable passion for all things social with a good awareness of the current social media landscape.
- Experience working with multiple social media platforms
- Experience of social as an integrated part of the full marketing and media mix
- Knowledge and experience of the social media analytics, listening tools and reporting – with ability to analyse.
- Knowledge and experience of developing different types of social content e.g. videos, blogs, infographics, etc
- A solid understanding of social media tracking for campaigns and posts
- Strong organisational skills, prioritisation skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
- Tenacity and personal drive to achieve objectives with high-quality outcomes.
Desirable
- Intermediate knowledge of web analytics and web analytics tools (tracking, cookies, etc)
- Financial sector experience (especially around social media)
- Experience creating content for Instagram
- Photoshop design skills
- A good understanding of the Development Bank of Wales role in the Welsh economy, the Welsh economy, industry and commerce as well as SMEs’ investment needs
- Knowledge of Welsh Government’s Welsh Language Standards
- Recognised marketing qualification (preferably a degree or CIM/IDM diplomas)
- Full driving licence
