Valleys-based point-of-sale software company plans big marketing and sales push thanks to loan

Taffs Well-based point-of-sale software company ECR Concepts Software is planning a big marketing and sales drive, boosted by new demo equipment purchased with a Development Bank of Wales fast track micro loan.

Sean Hosking bought the Valleys-based point-of-sale software company in 2004. The company specialises is touch screen point-of-sale payment services and stock control solutions.

Sean wanted to invest in marketing, staff training and new presentation software to help the company grow and attract even more customers.

After researching his finance options, he applied for a £10,000 fast track loan through the Development Bank of Wales’ website. Receiving a decision on his application within two business days.

Sean said: “The process of applying for the fast track loan online was quick and simple. The application form is very easy to navigate. I received a decision really quickly and I’m already implementing my business growth plans.”

Over the next couple of years’ he plans to hire more staff in technical and business development roles.
