Our board of non-executive directors oversees the strategy and performance at the Development Bank of Wales, drawing on a wealth of regional and global business experience.

Our equity portfolio team builds relationships with our customers to ensure our finance and investments help them to grow. 

The Investment Support team provide administrative support to all Investment teams across Wales. They are involved in many elements of the process from initial due diligence through to Portfolio.

Our loan portfolio team builds relationships with our customers to ensure our finance and investments help them to grow. 

Led by chief executive Giles Thorley, our executive and senior management team provide the investment strategy that drives real benefits to your business.

Our micro loans team specialise working with small and micro businesses providing loans from £1,000 up to £50,000.

Our highly experienced investments team is based throughout Wales and works with a range of high-growth businesses and their advisers offering loans and equity from £50,000 up to £5 million. They can support growth, succession and acquisitions. 

Our property development team invest in commercial and residential development projects in Wales. 

Our technical team co-ordinate and manage activity for the Development Bank of Wales’ investment and portfolio teams. They also deal with all new finance enquiries and work closely with other funders and advisers to ensure Welsh businesses are aware of the support available.

Our technology ventures investment team focuses on innovative technology-based businesses from start-ups to early stage and established. They can provide both loans and equity depending on the business.
