Developing a tech venture
“The investment we received allowed us the space to test our business model and secure those vital early clients. It’s great to have an investor relationship where we feel that there’s support for follow on funding.”
Founded by Marc Thomas, Steve Dimmick and Sam Goudie in 2015, doopoll is a Cardiff-based online polling company.
doopoll’s online platform can be used for events as well as social media and email campaigns. Users are able to access simple, online polls - which are customizable by clients. The platform has an 80% engagement rate, which is much higher than traditional polling software.
Companies to use the platform include Admiral, O2 and the Bank of England.
They have received two equity investment rounds from ourselves. doopoll first received an initial six-figure investment from the Development Bank of Wales and angel investor Konrad Litwin in April 2016. In 2017, they received an additional investment from the development bank. Funding for both deals came from the Wales Technology Seed Fund.
